Basic Information For Taking Your Kitten Home
We are so pleased you have chosen to purchase one of our kitties. They have been loved and will be missed but we’re confident that you will give them a loving, caring home also. This basic information should help them make a good adjustment to your family.
1.When first bringing your new kitty to your home they will feel more comfortable and secure if you put them with their food and litter in a small room such as a bathroom or laundry room. Then bring them out to love them and to meet the family. As they grow more comfortable let them explore the rest of the house or the part you want them to be in.

2.Because Persians are indoor cats they will need an inside litterbox that needs to be cleaned regularly. If you are pregnant get someone else to clean it during this time.

3.If you have other inside pets keep them separate for about two weeks and gradually let them see the other pet and introduce them to each other first by the smell of a toy or blanket the other has used. Let them spend a short time together at first until you see that they are adjusting to each other. Stress can lower their resistance so whatever you can do to help them make the adjustment with a minimal amount of stress will be helpful.

4.We will have a few days’ supply of the food they have been eating for you. They have been eating Royal Canin Kitten 36 and Blue Longevity with LifeSource Bits Kitten food.  For older kittens and cats, Life’s Abundance which is a natural food that I purchase online at Royal Canin and Blue Longevity are quality foods that can be purchased at Petsmart or Petco. If you change, look for the food that is appropriate for their age. Mix together the food they have been eating with the food of your choice and gradually cut back on the old food until they are eating the one you have chosen for them. Using a high quality food will make a difference in their health and appearance so choose the best one you can afford to buy.

5.We use Eye Envy to help keep their eyes from developing dark tear stains especially if they have white hair around their eyes. You can purchase it online at, and other sites.

6.A metal comb is the best tool for grooming your kitten or cat. Bathing instructions are available also.

7.Our kittens are used to “The World’s Best Cat Litter.”
8.Use a carrier to transport the kitten home or wherever you go with them.

9.Take your kitty to the vet for a checkup and try to do this regularly.

10.   Schedule their spay or neuter surgery if needed.
